So, what have we been doing? Our first task once the pandemic took hold was to ensure that all of our clients who were away could get home safely and all of those who were due to travel could either postpone their trip, or receive a refund. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their patience and support during this time. We really were “in this together”.
Just like you we love to travel and just like you we were stuck at home. So, we wanted to give a taste of travel to all of those on our social media platforms and worked with our partners around Africa to set up our Virtual Tour series, visiting the continent from northern Morocco to the southern tip of South Africa. We took a virtual walking trek in search of rhinos and came face to face with African penguins; all while talking about travel and conservation with some of the best experts you can find anywhere. We hope that you enjoyed the tours as much as we did and we are hoping to set up more in the new year.
We also took some time out to collect our first award, being recognised as the Tour Operator of the Year in the Cambridgeshire Prestige Awards. It was an honour to collect the award and reflected the great relationships that we have built within our community and with our clients, both locally and around the world.
With lock downs and travel restrictions in place, 2020 has been a year to reflect and improve the services we give to our clients.
Throughout the year we have been honing our Flexible Terms and Conditions to ensure that going forwards our clients are in control of their holiday from the moment they book to the moment they get home. We want to promote destinations to get excited about and look forward to, rather than those that are going to worry you and we have worked hard developing New Partners throughout this year who share our ethos and will best look after our clients.
We have doubled down on our efforts to support Sustainable Tourism, building partnerships with eco-lodges and conservation groups around the continent and are pleased to introduce New Destinations for our clients with the links below and more to come in the new year.So, all that is left is to draw a line under this year, take what we have learned and look forward with a little renewed hope for 2021. May it be a peaceful and prosperous year for you and those you love and may it be your year of travel.
