Financial Protection For You

Financial Protection for our Clients

All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. Please see our booking conditions for further information or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/atolcertificate.

We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.

Archer & Gaher Adventures are members of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), which exists in order to provide you with 100% financial protection. Our membership number is Q6543 and this can be verified if necessary by contacting the TTA. Every penny that you pay to us is protected by the TTA and is deposited into our Trust Account. A Trust Account is a bank account designated to hold our clients’ money and means that you can book your holiday secure in the knowledge that you will be financially protected in the unlikely event of Archer & Gaher Adventures becoming insolvent.

All members of the TTA have to abide by the members Code of Conduct. This is to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service

As a TTA member, should Archer & Gaher Adventures financially fail or cease trading for any reason, the TTA will liaise with the suppliers on location to ensure that your travel plans can go ahead unaffected. If for any reason this is not possible, they will administer a claim for a refund of money that you have paid for your trip.

In addition to being held in trust, you also have a financial guarantee from the TTA who will guarantee the obligation up to a maximum for any one passenger of £11,000. So if you paid £2000 they guarantee that they will reimburse the loss of the £2000, if it is not available for you from the Trust Account.

Therefore, the Trust Account plus this guarantee will ensure that all the money which you have paid is safely protected and available to reimburse you if necessary. When you make a booking, you will be supplied with a guarantee certificate (you can see the terms of this on the TTA’s website).

If Archer & Gaher Adventures should become insolvent, in most instances your money will still be held within our Trust Account by the designated Trustee, and available to pay for your holiday. If because of fraud or dishonesty the money is not there, then the guarantee is available to reimburse your loss. In some cases your holiday may continue as the providers or suppliers may already have been paid. Where you have only paid a deposit and still have an outstanding balance, your trip may be unaffected and by paying the balance your holiday will continue as planned. Where possible, all attempts will be made to ensure that you can carry on with your original travel arrangements.
