Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed outside customs and the immigration hall and transferred to your hotel where you can rest and prepare for your upcoming adventure.

After an early breakfast, some of the group will begin with either paddling or kayaking on the lake. Paddling out onto Lake Kivu you will see the start of the picturesque coastline, experience the tranquility that comes from being out on the water and discover a few interesting sights - including the hot springs, fish farms and many species of birds. Lunch will be served at Paradise Malahide hotel after which you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Arrival at your lodge followed by a visit to “Ibyi Iwacu”cultural Village not far from your hotel you will find the Ibyi Iwacu cultural village. This former-poachers project is changing traditional perceptions of what constitutes tourism by turning fate into fame through sharing various aspects of rural cultures and livelihoods into tourist attractions and creating income-generating activities for rural poor people that have lived on bush meat, poaching for generations. The village provides tourists experiences beyond wildlife viewing, the people, culture and how they live. The village also gives a chance to the visitors to enjoy the eight different local dances, listen to Gorilla songs, local food preparations, visit the local healer, visit the king’s place and get to hear all the old stories.

Today begins with a 6:00am drive to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a Golden Monkey Tracking briefing for your walk which starts at 8:00 am. There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo. As with treks to see the Mountain Gorillas, treks to see the Golden Monkeys take place in the mornings and visitors are permitted to stay for 1 hour with the monkeys. Later you will transfer to the Rwanda-Uganda boarder for Customs and Immigration, cross to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. On arrival you will check in at your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Waking up early in the morning, you'll have breakfast and head for a game drive in search of some big cats. From the game drives you will head for afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga channel where you can see a number of hippopotamus. The Kazinga channel has the highest number of hippopotamus in East Africa therefore while here, viewing them is as close to guaranteed as can be. 

After an early start in the morning for breakfast, drive to Kanyanchu Park headquarters in Kibale Forest National Park where you will be allocated a guide for a brief before the chimpanzee tracking. Kibale Forest National Park is called the primate capital of East Africa because of its high primate population. It’s the best known national park in East Africa for primate tracking and bird species.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park which lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. Uganda's largest and oldest conservation area hosts dozens of animal species and is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls. Head out on the river itself as well as viewing the falls from the escarpment for some of the most incredible views Uganda has to offer.

Today depending on your flight time you will be transferred to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
